Me as a Main Character

In this section, i'll explain about Me and The Others (My Family, hobbies, and my idol) but before I go further I'll explain about my self, don't worry, it's just taking a bit time so here it is. As we know my name is Arif Santoso but my friend (my teammates) calling me as  Arif Gandoom, it sounds weird for me actually but from that, i have my own characteristic, by the way why "gandoom"? the answer is simple because my nickname in the game is "gandoom". Ohh... I'm almost forgetting one thing, about birthplace ok I was born Purwokerto 22 January 1999, I am currently 18 years old and currently, my status is an active student of UNISSULA (English literature student[new comer]). I have more than one hobbies and in this article, I'll explain it to you one by one. Ok, here it is.

My Family

That is my family, on the right side is my father, then beside of my father is my mother (as indeed), then that is my young brother (the black one), below of my young brother (the black one) he is the younger one (with dark blue t-shirt), and on the left side is me with my youngest brother. That is my beloved family. By the way, I'm the oldest of my brothers. In this section, i'll explain about my beloved family.

Ok, start from my father. My father's Name is Teguh Prayitno he was born in Semarang, 19 April 1961. He works as a Fisherman, every day he goes to the sea. But sometimes when the rain comes he doesn't go to work because you know what happened to the sea when the rain comes. He goes to the sea in the night, then goes home in early days (around 5 o'clock).Usually, when the holiday comes, I used to fishing with my father(not at sea) yea... we did this at the river, why? you know because the deep sea is so... scary. But now, I just can imagine and miss that moment.

Then, in this section, I'll talk about my mother. My mother's name is Yulia Susanti she was born in Kendari, 15 July 1971. She is a seller, actually food and drink seller. If I went to fishing with my father when the holiday comes, but sometimes I went to my mother's workplace after I back from school. Sometimes, when the rains come, my father, doesn't go to the sea but he comes to my mother's workplace. I missed that moment, so much. But now I'm far from my parents, but... it's okay.

I think it's no needed to talking about my self because I have explained it in the beginning of this article, so I'll explain about my brother, start from my young brother (the black one) His name is Reza Kurniawan, he was born in Purwokerto, 23 Oktober 2000. Yea... he younger than me one year, currently he is 17 Years old. By the way he also Dota 2 player, yea... I used to play together with him until now. The only game that can unite us in the distance. That is one of the benefits of playing the game, it can unite someone in the distance.

Ok, then the younger one and the naughty one his name is Bagas Cahyadi he was born on Ambarawa 29 July 2005. Currently, he is 11 years old. I used to disturb him, even until crying. I don't know why but I'm happy to do this [ha ha...] But sometimes we get along when playing the game, but sometimes when he got a loose streak in game, suddenly he crying for nothing. Then my parents scold me... yea... I'm used to that. But I still love my naughty brother.

The youngest one, his name is Galih Panuju Handoko he was born on Ambarawa 27 May 2009. Currently, he is 8 years old. He is the youngest and the cutest. He used to stay at home, then playing the game on my laptop, or watching TV. I used to go around by motorcycle with my youngest brother, sometimes we go out for "jajan" when I have some money.

FYI: actually I have the older brother, but he was gone because of his illness. If he still alive till now he currently 23 Years old, I can't tell you about his name. I don't want to remember that moment because you know how they feel when you missed someone who has gone.

Spare Time Interest

Blogging

Blogging is one of spare time interest when I have a good time, as we know blogging is the place for someone who interests in writing, especially if you want to produce money from writing. Moreover, blogging can give you huge of happiness, from what? if your article has been read by many people, then some of them leave their comment. That is the one of huge happiness, moreover, when Google Adsense paid you through the ads, I think that is the greatest happiness from blogging. But until now I have never received a fee from Google Adsense, it's okay. That's can't make me stop trying, even I'll trying something new because there is only one way.

Translating Text or Short Movies

Here it is, the one of my spare time interest. If there's nothing to do, I'm trying to translating some text or short movies. Yea... I do this to improve my English skill and listening skill. But sometimes I'm trying to deliver a speech to my self (talk to my self) it sounds crazy but, I love it.

BitCoin Mining

I'm a Miner, but i don't need the shovel. I do this on my laptop, so I don't need the shovel. Do you know what is bitcoin? ok, i'll explain it in a simple term, here it is. BitCoin is a cryptocurrency and worldwide payment system. It is the first decentralized digital currency, as the system works without a central bank or single administrator. Do you understand? I assuming that you understood. Next how it works? [Bitcoin mining] You just need to visit the mining cloud provider, there are so many mining types, the first is PTC (Paid to Click) this type you just need to click ads then you receive small point, then gambling (not recommended) I can't explain this type because this one is illegal way then just skip. OK, I think enough lets next to another spare time interest.

Playing Game

This is The Greatest spare time interest, Playing Game. Playing game will be more... fun if you play it together with your friend. Then I used to play this together with my schoolmate(senior high school). Until now, I'm still playing it especially Dota 2. When the holiday comes, I go to the internet cafe just for playing a game together with my friend, that is a lot of fun. There's no word that can represent the happiness when you playing the game together with your friend.

But most people think that play game isn't good for you, it's absolutely wrong, WRONG! I disagree with it because from the game I learn a lot of things that I'll explain it in the next section. By the way, I ever enroll a small tournament Dota 2, but i was lost the game. But Its ok for me, I'll keep trying, and keep practicing because I believe I can. Oh... what I'll talk about in this paragraph, never mind about that. I just want to talk about my spare time interest. That's all about spare time interest that I usually to do.

Hobbies

 Game Addict

OK, in this section I'll explain about one of my special hobbies, yeah! that is... playing game, so when was my first time? I'm playing the game when I was 3 years old at that time I was playing "PlayStation one" then the first game was "monster inc" then... now,  the game that I play is Dota 2 I have been playing this game since I was in elementary school. I'm playing a lot of game but, there's only one that special for me, that is [once again] Dota 2. Then why should Dota? there are so many things that can make Dota special for me one of them is, from this game I can improve my self-control, from this game [again] I know what is the real meaning of "Friend" I have so many friends from this game, then from this game [again II] I can express my self, and one more thing that I have learned from this, from Dota I'm understood about "teamwork", that's why Dota is special for me. If you curious about Dota, I suggest you play this game, then I believe you will be addicted.

Then Dota it's self-have so many tournaments, the greatest Dota 2 tournament is "The International". The international 7 which has been held 5 months ago have a fantastic prize pool. How much? the price pool already reached $24,787,916, that's why I'm interested to become a professional E-Sport player. I expect I can play this game as a professional player, I have so many dreams that I can't explain in this article, but... I hope my dreams will come true. As a reminder, playing the game it's not a useless thing, most of the people think that playing game absolutely not good for you. I know everything has two sides, the first is positive side then another side is negative side, only you can decide which one you want. If you want the positive side, you need to improve your self-control so that the game can be a useful thing for you in another hand if you can't control your self, you'll be controlled by the game then... the time will come and kill you sadly.

The Most Insane Writer in Blogger

Besides playing the game I'm a blogger, I have so many blogs (more than one). Then every my blog (almost) contain the article that useless. That's why I call it as a "Most Insane", then why I have more than one blog? I do this because [once again] I'm an insane writer, no... I'm not serious, I have more than one blog because when I need money I can sell one of my blogs so... I don't need to ask money to my parents. And... what "theme" of my blog? The first blog is talking about the computer (software only), then another blog is talking about the game, and then this blog do you know what is the "theme" of this blog? even my self-does don't understand with this blog. But I still love it for nothing.

By the way, why I'm interesting with writing? [once again] From blogging I can produce (a little bit money) money, from writing I can express my self, then the most important thing from writing I can be more useful from everyone. Yeah... that's, why I love writing even writing, is part of my life. From writing, I can convey something that's on my mind to the other. But my article still the worst, so sad. So, how come from blogging you can produce from money? Google pays me through the ads, and you can make money from the blog with selling your blog or Google AdSense account (as indeed). Does it sound interesting? (not so).

My Idol

Kuro Salehi Takashomi (a.k.a Kuroky)

Who is this guy? Only dota player will know this guy. He is one of The Best player Dota 2 and also captain of Team Liquid. KuroKy currently lives in Berlin, where he grew up.KuroKy suffered from disabilities to his legs, and would struggle to use his legs. He stated that this weakness was what led to him to play video games. KuroKy played for a few German DotA teams before joining his first international team, mousesports, where he played with players such as Drayich.

In 2006, a team called World Eaters emerged with KuroKy as its core player; they won a competition hosted by DotA-League.com. However, after the team disbanded, Kuroky joined Mousesports in 2008. In November 2008, mouz defeated MYM in MYM Prime Defending. However, Drayich left the team and Puppey played as a stand-in in a competition.

This mousesports lineup attended DreamHack Winter 2008 with Puppey acting as stand-in; this was to be the beginning of a long relationship between KuroKy and Puppey. KuroKy then joined Ks.int, which at one point had a total number of 9 players and looked more like a mix than an actual team. Some well known players in the DotA scene were on the team, such as Puppey, Vigoss and LevenT.

Professional Career (In Dota 2)

2011-2012: Early Days

KuroKy's first public appearance in Dota 2 was The International 2011 along with the game's debut at Gamescom. He participated in the tournament under GosuGamers.net with teammates Kebap, Azen, and Mirakel. Unfortunately for them, they dropped all three group stage games and were eliminated by MiTH.Trust in the first round of the losers' bracket. After the unsuccessful run at The International, KuroKy went on to play in several other teams with him as the star player; the teams included PANZER and 10,000th, which were also jokingly called KKy + 4. In May 2012, he joined Virtus.pro in the hopes to qualify for a spot to play at The International 2012.

They won their first round match of the West Qualifiers against mTw but were eventually eliminated by mousesports and zNation. However, he got his chance to play at The International 2012 when ComeWithMe ran into visa issues and mousesports invited KuroKy to the event in his place. A stroke of luck for KuroKy and the other mouz players happened when MUFC ran into visa issues and could not make it to Seattle, leaving an extra spot for the backup teams. mouz played a best of five series against World Elite to determine who would replace MUFC in the main tournament and they took the wildcard match handedly with a 3-0 score. The main tournament itself was not a success for KuroKy as he was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs and could not improve upon his results from The International 2011.

KuroKy joined mousesports on September 16 as a temporary member, along with Alex and Kebap, to fill their roster for SLTV Star Series Season 3.

2013-2014: Natus Vincere

After a short and well received stay at Mousesports, KuroKy joined Natus Vincere on February 28, 2013 as their support player alongside former Ks.Int team-mate Puppey. His first year on Na'Vi was very successful with many first place finishes and a second place finish at The International 2013. However, the second half of his Na'Vi career was largely disappointing and culminated in a 7-8th place finish at The International 2014. He left Na`Vi on August 18, 2014.

2014-2015: Team Secret

Following his departure, it was revealed on August 27th, 2014 that he was on the roster for Secret Team, a team he formed with Puppey. Joining this duo were friends and former teammates on Fnatic Fly and N0tail as well as s4 from Alliance. KuroKy initially played the carry position for the newly formed Team Secret but success eluded the team as their best result was a second place finish at Star Ladder. A roster shuffle took place, swapping Fly and N0tail for Arteezy and zai from Evil Geniuses resulted in KuroKy returning to the support position alongside Puppey once again. This new Team Secret roster was more successful than the previous and, having won 4 consecutive LAN finals, they approached The International 2015 as heavy favorites. However, Team Secret exited the tournament surprisingly early to a disappointing 7-8th place finish amidst severe internal issues.

2015 and onwards: Team Liquid

Following TI 5 KuroKy left Team Secret to form a new team, 5Jungz, with himself as captain, where he handpicked his teammates: fellow German FATA- would play mid, the Finnish duo MATUMBAMAN and JerAx would be carry and roaming support, respectively, and Bulgarian offlaner MinD_ContRoL rounded out the roster. After a string of promising results the team was signed by Team Liquid. Team Liquid was able to win The Defense Season 5 and also finished as runners up at The Shanghai Major 2016 with KuroKy playing the joint highest number of different heroes at the tournament. After finishing in the top four in his last three consecutive LAN events with the most being recent, 2nd at ESL ONE Manila 2016, KuroKy led this team to a breathtaking five game series to 3-2 victory over the dominant Chinese team Newbee that had a 29-0 winning streak during the picturesque tournament EPICENTER at the Crocus City Hall, Moscow. The pulsating series at the Russian capital over the course of a week saw KuroKy and his fellow team mates secure their maiden LAN win of the 2016 calendar year. At the Manila Major, Team Liquid was once again able to reach the grand finals, but finished as runners up once again, this time falling to OG. KuroKy was tied with 343 for the highest number of different heroes played at the event. Unsurprisingly, Team Liquid was invited to attend The International 2016, however another disappointingly early exit would be in store for KuroKy.

In the wake of TI6, FATA- and JerAx would leave the team and their replacements were BuLba, from Evil Geniuses, and Miracle-, from rivals OG. The new competitive season saw Team Liquid with very disappointing results, failing to qualify for the Boston Major. In the following weeks, BuLba would be replaced by GH, who officially joined in January 2017. This replacement proved miraculous, as the team's results improved drastically. Two LAN wins and several online successes meant that Team Liquid would be invited to the second Major of the season, the Kiev Major. After a 5-8th place finish at the Major, Liquid went on to dominate international LANs for the next months in the run up to The International 2017, winning three consecutive LANs, among others the EPICENTER LAN, where they defended their title. This stellar performance was crowned by their victory at The International, in August 2017. After attending every single TI, KuroKy had finally done it and hoisted the Aegis after a 3-0 sweep against Newbee in the Grand Finals.
